Stress is not necessarily a ‘bad’ thing. Stress is what gets us out of bed in the morning and helps us survive many situations during the day. The challenge is when our body goes into a state of stress in inappropriate situations.

Being overwhelmed with stress can lead to an inability to ‘think straight’; a state that is a great hindrance in both our work and home lives. If we are kept in a state of stress for long periods, it can be extremely detrimental to our health. Those who suffer from prolonged stress can experience a range symptoms, including:
- Inability to Concentrate
- ‘Brain Fog’
- Rapid Heartbeat
- High Blood Pressure
- Increased Intake of Alcohol, Cigarettes and Caffeine to Relax
- Loss of sense of humour

What would help you right now is to have a clear understanding of what is causing your reaction to stress, and a clear understanding of the differences and similarities between stress and anxiety. You are likely to need help to clear the ‘brain fog’, to identify the main things that stress you, and help reviewing your current coping strategies and how effective they really are for you right now.
In the case of mild stress, you may simply need help with additional tools and strategies to help manage your mind and body reactions to your current levels of stress. In the case where your current stress levels are significantly impacting your life cognitively, emotionally, physically and behaviourally, we would require a more comprehensive treatment plan to get you to where you want to be.
How can the ‘Manage Your Stress, Learn To Relax And Sleep Well’ package help you?
I will have already explained at the Taster Session, how the mind works and how the conscious and subconscious minds work together; and how things can get ‘stuck’ in our subconscious mind and then have a significant effect on our adult life right now. I will have also explained hypnosis and how hypnosis works to allow you to access your subconscious mind; and I will have explained how positive changes can occur in your subconscious mind, to enable you to live the life you want to live, right now.
The ‘Manage Your Stress, Learn To Relax And Sleep Well’ package will start with a consultation to understand where you are now and what you would like to achieve. It will be important for us to ‘calibrate’ your current situation so that we can measure the progress you and your subconscious mind make. Each 90-minute session will include a hypnosis session specifically tailored to your needs.
Early in the course of treatment I may use Hypnoanalysis techniques which will allow your subconscious mind to identify events in your life that have contributed to the problem in some way (a bit like peeling back the layers of an onion). This will allow your subconscious mind to begin to let go of anything negative that may be holding you back from having the life that you want, right now.
Once your subconscious mind has indicated there is nothing holding you back, all that remains is to focus on changing any anxiety related distorted thought patterns that may underlie your stress. We will look at the use of tools and techniques to help you stay calm and relaxed in all situations. If required we will use suggestion therapy to build your confidence and self-esteem, and we will we will also look at mindfulness and self-hypnosis techniques so that you can be more resilient and be able to help yourself greatly in other stressful times and event in your life.
